Gagarin Gate and the Vostok-1 Nebula

After leaving the Llyn Tegid Nebula yesterday I had an uneventful trip out to Gagarin. There were a few notable finds on the way, including a striking ringed water world in Clooku HS-N c22-26 which I scanned and mapped as we passed through the system.

The Vostok-1 Nebula was a striking sight as we approached Gagarin. The nebula doesn’t appear quite so striking from the station, but it was local night when we arrived and the nebula seemed to tower over the station in the dark.

Gagarin Gate is a Colonia Connection Highway outpost and was named after one of Earth’s early space pioneers, cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. Gagarin was the first man to fly off Earth and orbit the planet. The nebula is named after Gagarin’s ship, Vostok-1.

Temeraire’s systems continue to function nominally, but i’ve arranged for her to be serviced and replenished here while I rest overnight.
