The Octopus Nebula

I stopped overnight in a system just clear of the Spear Thistle Nebula before progressing to the next point of interest – the Octopus Nebula in Prua Phoe TK-M d8-361.

This nebula is laced through with clouds of hydrogen and is quite vivid on approach. The fine details in the clouds are beautiful.

I’m still finding plenty of undiscovered systems along the route to the points of interest which surprises me. I would have thought this course would have been well frequented by now. I’m not complaining though – i’m making the most of the opportunity to write my name across the stars.
