The Dryau Awesomes

Imperial Cutter "Temeraire" 1C3-DW
Dryau Ausms KG-Y e3390 (The Dryau Awesomes) & Dryau Ausms VX-D b12-1 B 1
21,075 light years from Sol

Temeraire still performing admirably; all systems are nominal.

I’ve arrived at the Dryau Awesomes. What a waypoint! Dropping out of FSD puts you within touching distance of a black hole/white dwarf close binary, with a gas giant orbiting the dwarf so closely that it completes an orbit every 14 minutes.

Gas giant in orbit around the White Dwarf.

This is, of course, impossible

The black hole should have swallowed the white dwarf and the gas giant but it hasn’t.

This is, of course, impossible.

The gas giant should have been roasted and had its atmosphere stripped away each time it passes through the white dwarf’s plumes but it hasn’t.

This is, of course, impossible.

This would be an epic place to build “Milliways”.

The impossible planet.

Later I met up with some folk on Dryau Ausms VX-D b12-1 B 1 and did some stargazing the hard way while resting the ship and myself.
